MOCK SOUR PATCH KIDS CAMPAIGN
My journey as an advertising student began with ADV 206: Advertising Practice, an introductory course at the Newhouse School of Public Communications. This class sparked my passion for advertising, offering a comprehensive overview of careers ranging from account management to creative direction and exploring both traditional and nontraditional media distribution methods.
For our final project, we tackled a real client brief from Sour Patch Kids, tasked with creating an innovative campaign to establish it as the number one non-chocolate confectionery. Working in small teams, we developed a communications brief and a creative concept, each within a week. Using crosstabs, my team and I built a detailed client profile and gained key consumer insights.
I’m especially proud of our creative concepts, which I developed independently. This experience reinforced my ability to think strategically and deliver impactful ideas under tight deadlines.
